Lack of support causes student misbehavior

Parents are responsible for the way students behave at school. Students perform better when their parents support them. Most schoolchildren do not turn up at school with basic materials like a pen but do bring their mobile phones, Ipods and other gadgets. Besides, the gadgets are disturbing during the classes. Another result of the lack of support is the lack of students' discipline. According to two third of all teachers the main reason for the misbehaviour of pupils is the lack of support of their parents. School ministers Nick Gibb wants to make an end of this bad behaviour.

Parents should ensure that their children turn up at school with the right equipment and motivate their children to participate in class and do their homework on time, especially on primary school. The article says nothing about the age of the pupils they are talking about therefore I have a broad opinion. If they are talking about students older than 14 I do not think that parents are equally responsible for their children’s behaviour. At that age students are not that keen on their parent’s well-meant advices and should be responsible for their own materials. Students older than 14 have to be responsible for their behaviour.

Gay kiss event

Londen, a homophobic pub closed its door because hundreds of gay people planned to kiss in front of the pub as a protest. Reason for this protest was the request to James Bull and Jonathan Williams of staff members to leave the pub because of ‘’obscene kissing’’. The pub in Soho suddenly was the centre of the attention when Williams posted a tweet about the incident. Not long after this the gay kissing event was found. The pub closed its door at 3:30 pm a couple of ours before the event started, at 7:00 pm. In about 300 people attended the gay kissing event.

It is ridiculous that gay people are not equal to straight people. If two straight people were kissing it would not be noticed and they certainly would not be asked to leave. In this case the two gay people had to leave because it looked ‘’obscene’’. It is just mad that in this western world there is still a distinction in orientation. I love the way this event turned out. The pub showed itself of its worst side by closing its doors which is just so weak. I like how the gay people stick together and I could not agree with them more. This was a great pay back.

BritNed

BritNed Cable
There will be an electricity cable, the BritNed, from Kent to somewhere near Rotterdam which has a length of 260 km and will cost£500m. It is the first link between the UK and another country in 25 years. The cable is called High voltage DC and has a capacity of 1000 MW. Normal lines start losing power after 80 km but the HVDC not. The HVDC is designed to enlarge the use of green energy. The new possibility to import and export energy easily over national borders means that we can maximize the use of green energy.
To me this finding sounds like the start of a healthier world. To invest in the future is one of the best investments there are. With the BritNed we can maximize the use of green energy by transporting it over national borders so it is for a cleaner global environment. Since the energy can be transported without losing power we can transport the energy over continents. With this new finding we can use the great sun power of the Sahara and use it wherever it is needed. For instance, to help the poor in Africa. The new BritNed cable can be the start of something huge, a better environment and a better overall distribution of energy.
